This fall, I got to attend Mood Food Wellness‘s annual Fall Harvest Dinner. What a fun (and nourishing) event! It was so nice to be able to gather in person with members of the South Shore community to celebrate the season with live music, great company, and most importantly, a deliciously healthy five-course meal prepared by Melissa Peralta, owner of Mood Food Wellness.
Mood Food Wellness Events
While they may be centered around gathering as a community or enjoying a delicious meal, all Mood Food Wellness events have an underlying focus on create positive associations with healthy habits. A healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to look like restriction or discomfort, it should be fun, welcoming, nourishing, & satisfying!
Mood Food Wellness events are not only for the wellness junkies (guilty!), but also for anyone who enjoys good food and is open to learning about healthy alternatives.
With smaller workshops and offerings scattered throughout the year, Mood Food Wellness hosts four core events per year: summer & fall farm-to-table Harvest Dinners and winter & spring Wellness Retreats.
You can also book Mood Food Wellness for a private dining events or retreats. Check out their website for booking.
Fall Harvest Dinner
To kick off the night, we were welcomed with a live music by Adam Matthew Davis (and his adorable dog Charlie) and a stocked bar of wines, beers, ciders, & mocktails with thoughtfully sourced, clean ingredients.
After finding our seats (all set up festive fall decor and a generously stuffed goodie bag of #moodfoodapproved products to bring home!), Melissa spoke to the lively crowd and explained her vision to help others create positive associations with healthy habits. She does this by creating delicious and nourishing dishes with ingredients sourced from local farms and that are all gluten, dairy, & refined sugar free, but doing it in a way that tastes just as great (in my opinion, better) than its less healthy alternatives. After eating her food, and noticing how your body feels afterwards, you will want to go back for more!
The food was served in courses, as we were all still enjoying our drinks and each other’s company. All five courses were vegan, but you could also opt to add the “Omnivore Addition”, which we did. The courses included an appetizer that was a take on a charcuterie board, a chopped salad with seasonal vegetables, two small main dishes with various versions of squash and protein, and a delicious dessert.
Overall, it was such a wonderful night and we will always remember. We met new friends, enjoyed delicious food, got new recipe ideas, and supported local small business & farms.

I can’t wait to attend her Winter Wellness Retreat, and I will be sure to tell you about it afterwards!
